Presented here are examples of my design work for Openlands, a Chicago-based environmental nonprofit and one of the oldest metropolitan conservation organizations in the United States. These works include promotional posters meant to evoke the idea of an immersive, emotional relationship with nature, and to highlight the networks of people and natural systems within Openlands’ area of impact. I have also designed a number of publications and technical reports for Openlands’ ongoing regional stormwater management initiatives, as well as developing a branding kit for a fundraising campaign to develop Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge, a brand new national wildlife refuge that spans the Illinois-Wisconsin border.
